The Divided States of America

Lately some people have been beating the states rights drum because of the marriage debate. I've got a solution to that little problem. Abolish the states. The way things stand now, we are the Divided States of America.

We are not united in thought or cause. We are a fractured conglomerate of conflicting laws, and statutes. In one state the law says you can do one thing freely, while the other will place you behind bars for many years for the same activity. We have 50 different states all with different drivers licenses, and automobile license plates. Each one has differing standards and laws concerning that. We have gerrymandered congressional districts, fashioned by criminal elements masquerading as politicians. We have a crazy patchwork of environmental laws, that are manipulated by politicians in each state for purposes that have nothing to do with the general welfare of the entire country. We have differing gun laws, some highly restrictive, others dangerously liberal. There are a multitude of conflicts caused by this having 50 individual states. Enough is enough!

We need one state, united under one flag. We need uniform laws that apply across the entire nation. We need a national drivers license, and license plates for our autos. When a law is good in one place, that very same law should apply no matter where you reside in this country. Our nation needs to be united under one cause, and law that is uniform from coast to coast. I think that would solve a lot of problems. It would cause a lot of problems in its implementation too! The reason why is because some people will oppose it for reasons that are selfish or unsavory, or for other unworthy reason.

Ted Cruz Panders to the Hispanic Community in a Most Disgusting Manner

Ted Cruz: ‘I Don’t Think I’ve Ever Seen A Hispanic Panhandler’
He's never been to Albuquerque or Los Angeles or any other western city then. Or perhaps he has never seen them because it is hard to see when sitting so high on that high horse. He is pandering to the Hispanic community in a most disgusting manner. I hope all of my Hispanic friends and family reject this person outright. He just threw under the bus many Hispanic people who need our help because of his lust for power.

I hope he keeps saying boneheaded things so he is assured of not being President. It would be a tragedy is he was. It would not only be a tragedy for that high office, but a shameful reflection on the American people.

Beware Facebook or Online Scammers

I've got several "friend" requests from supposed young ladies lately. I always check out their wall to see if I think they are genuine. I always block them if I have a doubt. I know there are young ladies who are normal persons just wanting to be friends. I have friends who are ladies of all ages from teens to Grandma's. From married to single, and of all sexual identities. I'm pretty open to having friends.

What I'm not open to is predators, and that is what I think some of these wanna-be friend people are. They will post a few provocative pictures of themselves, which are probably not really of themselves. They will have zero to some stuffed content on their wall. They will not have any friends in common, if any friends at all. To me it seems pretty obvious what they are up to. Schemers trying to prey on an older gentleman. Predators trying to use an illusion to rip off seniors.

They must be having some success because they keep trying. I used to get 1 a month, but there seems to be an up-tick in the amount. I've blocked 3 in the last few days. I'll keep blocking them too! If a young lady wants to be friends because she is already a friend of a friend, and they like my writings, or they are a HCV or cancer patient, that's okay. They are normally easy to pick out and I welcome them with an open mind. The schemers are pretty easy to pick out too, and they get blocked. If I have a doubt about if they are sincere, I'll message them and ask why they want to be a friend. Their reply usually gives them up. Then they get blocked, or they get a new friend.

Don't be a chump, my friends. That goes triple for all my single senior friends. It is a common thing for schemers to target senior citizens. They try to use the illusion of attraction. Possible loneliness relieved by a May-December relationship. Overseas ladies looking for a rich American to rescue them from their situation. A young person in Africa looking for money to pay for this or that. They can have a pretty creative story. They rune things for the real, sincere people.

I haven't a doubt that there are May-December relationships that are genuine and true. After all we all are just a brain locked in a body. Sometimes two brains fall in love with one another, and the body doesn't count. It is just a vessel. Sometimes a lady really is desperate in a foreign land, and really is just looking to better her life. Same goes with a young person in Africa. I know there are persons in Africa who are really just trying to get an education, and maybe are looking for help to get books, or something. They are the people hurt most by the scammers.

The scammers make people like me suspicious of motives. So we throw out the bad and the good because the lines between the two have become blurred. It gets hard to tell the scammers from the real. It is a good thing there are charitable organizations. Often I have pointed some stranger to a charitable organization. Last week I pointed a young person from Africa to an organization that gives free education. Then I blocked them.

Stay vigilant my friends. Keep your armor shiny, and your guard up. Deny the scammers, and help the real needy. Sometimes we will fail, and get took, but it isn't shame on you. It is shame on them.

An Atheist's Views About Abortion

Against abortion or not, it is the woman's body. She is sovereign over it just the same as any person. That includes any part of it physically attached to it. It is not the purview of other persons to dictate such matters. Furthermore, if people would concern themselves with the well being of the autonomous living people in our society, we probably wouldn't have as many people seeking abortion. What happens now is twisted logic causing our civilization damage. On one hand people will denounce the practice of abortion, then the very same people will champion the cutting of social services for those people effected most by bans on abortion, the poor. It is no wonder we are having an increase in crime and violent rioting, like in Baltimore.

"We offer evidence that legalized abortion has contributed significantly to recent crime reductions. Crime began to fall roughly eighteen years after abortion legalization. The five states that allowed abortion in 1970 experienced declines earlier than the rest of the nation, which legalized in 1973 with Roe v. Wade. States with high abortion rates in the 1970s and 1980s experienced greater crime reductions in the 1990s. In high abortion states, only arrests of those born after abortion legalization fall relative to low abortion states. Legalized abortion appears to account for as much as 50 percent of the recent drop in crime." http://pricetheory.uchicago.edu/levitt/Papers/DonohueLevittTheImpactOfLegalized2001.pdf

The estimated size of the human population from 10,000 BCE–2000 CE.
Furthermore, humans must do something about the overwhelming increase in the planetary Human population. The explosive growth in human population and the accompanying growth in energy use and emissions of greenhouse gases are bringing our ecosystem to the breaking point. If Humans will not allow contraceptive prevention of pregnancies, and if Humans are unwilling to expand their civilization off world, we are left with no other viable alternative.

Commentary: Why Access to Birth Control Matters to Black Women
Most of the drive to reverse Roe-v-Wade is driven primarily by fundamentalist Christians in this country. They are the same people who are climate change deniers, food stamp reducers, education spending cutters, warfare advocates and intruders into people's marriage habits. I notice the term used here "Secular Pro-Life". When I opened their FB page I seen illogical intrusion into people's sovereign bodies right off the bat. The cover illustration proudly proclaims "...dismemberment is wrong". All I can say to that is, it is my body, the universe gave it to me and me alone. If I want to cut off any part of it I'll do it. There is no one on the planet that has authority over how I treat my person. I recon that just because someone claims to be secular doesn't necessarily mean that they have logical thought.

Secular Pro-Life
I'm having some misgivings about the group Secular Pro-Life. I'm a digger and I found this. Kelsey Hazzard founded and currently runs SecularProLife.org. I find her position to be that of the minority when it comes to Atheists.

"Within the United States, 72% of the religiously unaffiliated say that "abortion should be legal in most or all cases"[7] compared to 53% of the general public. Among atheists and agnostics, 84% say abortion should be legal in most or all cases. SPL operates in the context of a highly polarized debate over abortion, where the anti-abortion movement America mainly consists of members of the Christian right."

"Debates, Delusions and Dishonesty - Why I have no respect for Kelsey Hazzard and SPL"

People who have intrusive idealism better get with the program. Their numbers are shrinking fast, and the free thinkers are growing in numbers every day. We are moving on into the future of humanity, and want all of humanity to have that bright future. Free thinkers, are getting fatigued by the incessant raving of primitive thoughts. Join us or be left behind in the trash bin of history's of bad ideas. Atheists and other persons of liberty are fighting for the survival of humanity. Join us.

I know this will be lost on some people. Some people will defend something that is incorrect they have held as fact for years, no matter the evidence to the contrary. For what ever reason be it pride, cognitive dissonance, narcissism, or just plane old stubbornness, there will be people that will never come around. They are the people who will be left to live primitive lives ruled by restrictive ideologies. Don't be one of them. The choice is yours, or do you allow other people to take even that choice from you?

We Need a Constitutional Amendment To Ban Religious Law

If you've been keeping up with current events you know about this attempt by Ted Cruz to pander to the religious right with a Constitutional Amendment to define marriage.

Living In His Own Reality, Cruz Files Constitutional Amendment To Ban Same-Sex Marriage

What we really need is to have a Constitutional Amendment that would ban laws based purely on religious dogma of any sort. What they propose is no better than Sharia Law. These people like Mr. Cruz will rant and rave about Muslims wanting Sharia Law, then turn around and try to pull the same stunt. That is to impose their religious values on people who want nothing to do with it.

We don't need Sharia Law, or laws based on Christianity either. Both of them are anathema to a free society, and should be shunned with all vigor. What our people need is a way to prevent people from shoving their morality onto people who don't believe the same. We need a Constitutional Amendment that would ban such laws. It might be viewed as a strengthening of the 1st Amendment.

1st Amendment; Prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

I would think the Christian Right would welcome such an Amendment too! They would be assured that Sharia Law could not be instituted anywhere in our nation. That one thing alone would seem like something of value to them, unless they would reject such a notion because it would also disallow them from instituting their own laws based on their religion. If so, then we would be having nothing more than a battle for government by religious factions. That is a disgusting notion, and a dangerous one too. We can just look to the Middle-East to see what happens when religious fervor runs rampant, and people battle it out over ideology.

28th Amendment "No law shall be based on Religious dogma. All law in the United States must pass scientific scrutiny, and be based on scientific consensus of the facts."

This would also protect us from people who are climate deniers, like James Inhof. He said "God wouldn't allow it". We as people of reason know that for him God has nothing to do with it, and the pumping and burning of oil has everything to do with it. An Amendment like I propose would also prevent unscrupulous people from using pseudo-science to dictate public policy too! If law were measured by the yard stick of scientific consensus before it is brought up for a vote, the climate deniers would lose right off the bat, and our environment would win. We as a people would win.

Support reason over myth and greed. Support an Amendment to the Constitution that would disallow law based on religious dogma or pseudo-science.

Witness the Crucifixion of Truth & the Death of Humanity

Sometimes I feel pretty useless. I dig and write, trying to get the facts and find the truth. Then even though I present the truth, a lot of people just reject it out of hand. It's not like I'm just trying to cause trouble and looking for a fight. I'm not trying to be contrary just for kicks. I only want to help. I would like to make a difference for the good. It is easy to make a name for one's self doing the wrong thing, but no one remembers the person who tries to get it right. The young man in the video is one of the people who are trying to get it right. I wonder if he has the same problems? Frustration with people who no matter the proofs of the wrongs, the crowd cries "Give us Barabbas".

Dear Future Generations, Sorry.
Posted by Prince Ea on Monday, April 20, 2015

Gee-wiz! I never thought of that bit of scripture like that before. I'm not a religious man, but I do give honor to great wisdom passed down by our ancient elders. Some of that wisdom can be found in the pages of the Christian Bible. "Give us Barabbas" the story tells us they yelled when Pilot offered them the good Jesus, or a murderer. Blindly the mob chose evil, and that is what is happening today.

The people are offered the facts of things like how our world is being ruined because of people's greed, but when the people are offered a better way they reject it, and only accept the offerings of the greedy rich. Just like in the days of old when the people chose the offerings of the Pharisees. They chose the thing that lead to death.

That is the path our human race seems to have chosen. A path that leads to death. Only this time it could mean the death of the human race in time. The people seem to be fine with that too. They don't care if the human race dies out because they have the idea that there is an afterlife that is better than the life we have. They believe that there is some kind of paradise awaiting them after their body's living functions cease. They tell me, "What if you don't believe, and it is true that there is a God?". I can only reply, "What if you believe in that God, and it isn't true?" I'll tell you what if it isn't true. If we continue on that path all of us are dead for nothing. Every last one of us. Every man, woman and child will be nothing but a pile of bones.

All of the eons it took our universe to produce us will be for nothing. All of the learning about the cosmos will be lost forever. Perhaps some other intelligent life might find our ruins. They will think we were truly a suicidal, primitive lot. A species who was on the cusp of greatness, but let it all slip away, and for what? That reason may be lost to them, but you and I know why. Because a few wanted to have power over others so they could live in temporary opulence. They use the power of superstition to rule, and the people drink deeply that poison. What fools the human race are. A grievously savage race are humans. Humans will not deserve to survive on this world, or any other. If they do not change course, and finally become good stewards of this planet, perhaps it would be better for the universe if our species does die out. Then there will be an example for others to find and to reject.

Luke 23
18 And they all cried out at once, saying, “Away with this Man, and release to us Barabbas”—
19 who had been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city, and for murder.
20 Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus, again called out to them.
21 But they shouted, saying, “Crucify Him, crucify Him!”
22 Then he said to them the third time, “Why, what evil has He done? I have found no reason for death in Him. I will therefore chastise Him and let Him go.”
23 But they were insistent, demanding with loud voices that He be crucified. And the voices of these men and of the chief priests prevailed.

We witness the crucifixion of truth, and the death of humanity on the cross of ignorance and superstition. The sign nailed to the cross reads "King of greed".

Tea Party Tries to Look Smart but Acts Stupid

This morning one of the guys over on Facebook tried to deny that Tea Party/Republicans are acting stupid by presenting an article by a Tea Party web site. They were trying to turn around the remark I made calling them "Retardlicans", and make liberals look dumb calling them "Libtards". Their argument doesn't hold water though, of course. I'll give them credit for brains when it comes to twisting the truth. They are experts at that.

ESTABLISHMENT ROCKED: YALE PROFESSOR DISCOVERS TEA PARTY MEMBERS ARE “MORE SCIENTIFICALLY LITERATE”

The first mistake they made is to take anything from a Tea Party source seriously. It didn't take long for me to find an article explaining how the study has been misinterpreted. Most people of reason know that the Tea Party is full of wing nuts.

"The problem with how the author of this paper is quoted is that it misrepresents his point. What he’s surprised about is that Tea Party supporters according to his data are scientific literate. But he also says this in the same blog post:

In this dataset, I found that there is a small correlation (r = -0.05, p = 0.03) between the science comprehension measure and a left-right political outlook measure, Conservrepub, which aggregates liberal-conservative ideology and party self-identification. The sign of the correlation indicates that science comprehension decreases as political outlooks move in the rightward direction–i.e., the more “liberal” and “Democrat,” the more science comprehending."

Really it isn't an unreasonable thing for people to think Tea Party/Republicans are dummies when they outright reject sound science. It is their own fault.

"It doesn't matter how trivial it is, often they will outright reject anything that contradicts their position. Which makes it extremely difficult to have a factual based discussion with a climate science denier. This behaviour doesn't stem from not understanding science, but it’s their ideological mental armour that’s preventing them from accepting valid scientific findings."

If Tea Party/Republicans want to keep from looking stupid they should quit rejecting sound science just to maintain a political posture. The climate denier issue is a prime example. Stop denying science when it is waving its fingers right in front of your face, then maybe you guys can rid yourself of the title "Retardlicans".

I don't want you to come around to the truth just because I want to be right. I want you to accept real science because our world and humanity depends on it. No pride issue here. Just truth over lies and misinformation.

Find the information on how the guys over at the Tea Party try to twist the truth any way they can, just to maintain their ever sagging credibility in the following link.

Tea Party Supporters And Scientific Literacy

By the way, it was a nice try with the "libtards" remark. Problem is, according to the study mentioned, it doesn't fit.

Reject the Dangerous Religions of the Middle-East: All of Them

Did you ever study much about the Celts? Most of the people who live in the United States can trace their ancestry back to that proud stock. Of course I'm not talking about the peoples who hail from Africa, or the Middle-East, or even Italy. Actually, especially not them from Italy. The Romans have caused our Celtic peoples trouble for a very long time. Their actions in antiquity, and the legacy they left us.

Parade Helmet, Agris, France. 350 BC
One of the most damaging things that the Roman world forced onto us is the Christian religion. Once Constantine declared it to be the state religion, it spread like wild fire all over the globe. It was spread by means both subtle and deadly. Even at times atrocities that compare to the radical methods used by groups like ISIS today. This heinous force has caused humans to lag behind of where we could be today because of anti-intellectual dogma. If you don't believe me look at Galileo's persecution by the Vatican, or the Creationists of today.

It bothers me that our people, the descendants of the Celts, would continue to embrace such a backward religious philosophy, imported from the Middle-East. It is especially disturbing that our people continue to do that when the damage to our culture is so pervasive. The fact that so many of our people, and so much of our culture has been damaged by this Christian death cult causes me to wonder why our people continue to follow that path.

That goes for the proud people of Africa, and other parts of the world too! Look what the religions of the Middle-East have done to your people's culture. The corrupted people of Europe and Africa, not to mention other diverse places, used the Religious dogma forced upon you to enslave our brother and sister humans. Now the horror continues to spread from that troubled part of the world in the form of Islamic extremism. It is the same old thing in a different package.

So what are we to do? How about us Celtic, African and other peoples of the Earth reject wholly the religions which originated in the Middle-East. Abandon the primitive myths they call truth. They are nothing but lies, used to enslave. The Celts and the African people had advanced cultures, despite the claim of the Romanticized world that we were barbarians. They and their forces defeated our ancestors and imposed their disgusting culture upon us, but that doesn't mean their culture is any good for us now, or ever. On the contrary, their culture has been like a festering sore, like a disease, and that disease is killing humanity.

I'm not saying that we should take up the religious practices of our ancient, pre-Christian ancestors. Our people need to reject any form of spiritualism, and embrace knowledge, reason and science. We should reject the present notion of creationism, or any dogma that offers myth as fact. That goes for the Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Hebrew, the whole lot of them. I tell you if we don't, humanity is as good as dead.

I take back my heritage as a descendant of the Celts. I reject all of the religious dogma in all its forms which originated in the Middle-Eastern part of the world. I reject any belief that calls spirits and gods real. Instead I will only consider the ways of logic and learning of reality in all its glory. There is no religion that can compare to the reality of the universe. Reality trumps myth every time, and I'll have to take the side of reality.

 The Celts on Hulu
Check Out The Celts: In the Beginning on Hulu.

Who are the Celts? Are you descended from the Celts? I've provided a map which will show you if you are. If you are descended from the Celts, why are you still worshiping a mythological god from the Middle-East? Just stop it. When you worship Middle Eastern gods, you have become an unwitting partner of the genocide of your original culture. You also are following a twisted, westernized perversion of that myth that has become a danger to humanity's very survival.

 Celtic People
Celtic Lands
That goes for any other person from any other part of our world. Get in touch with your proud pre-Christian culture. Abandon the pathogenic religions which came from the Arab lands. Do it before their primitive belief system causes the ruination of our entire world.

Earth Day 2015: Take Back the Earth

On this Earth Day 2015, let's call on our leaders to reverse the trend of environmental degradation. Let's use reason and logic to preserve our ecosystem. We can not rely on the hope of a god's intervention in this matter. It is up to Humans to keep the planet Earth in such a state where complex life forms can flourish.

I urge you to support environmental regulations that promote the well being of our air, water and other life sustaining Earthly systems. Do it before it is to late for us all. Let 's take back the Earth from big polluters.

The Arrogance of Ignorance: James Inhofe is God's Fool

“God’s still up there.” Inhofe cited Genesis 8:22 to claim that it is “outrageous” and arrogant for people to believe human beings are “able to change what He is doing in the climate.”

It remains hard for me to believe that anyone in their right mind supports James Inhofe as Chair of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.

There has been a few times that people have told me I should believe in God because "what if I didn't and it turned out to be true?" After thinking about this fellow for a while it occurred to me. What if people didn't believe that human made climate change is real, and it turned out to be true?

If I didn't believe in a god, then died and it was true, I guess I would burn in hell forever because I didn't choose right. It would still be difficult to choose right with all the conflicting stories out there. If I didn't believe in human made climate change and it was real, we might all be dead. There are few conflicting stories about climate change though. 97% of all real scientists now support the notion of human made climate change. Can't get that kind of a consensus with religion.

The big difference I see here is, what happens if you are wrong and are dead, as opposed to what happens if you are wrong and still alive! Notice the focus on death verses life? I choose the real, the living. I reject the notion of a choice concerning what happens after one dies. There is no choice when it comes to that. You better choose to decide on the living and forget all that after death non-sense. If you don't we may all be dead, or things will get so bad that death will really look like a viable option to the misery of an inhospitable Earth environment.

Please stop basing your choice of leadership on religious dogma. They are only using it as a tool to get you to support their agenda. Believe me, they don't give two hoots about whether you live or die, or go to heaven or hell. They only care about their own selfish group of money grubbers.

Religious Right Advocates Myth: God & Big Bang

This is the typical (I know I've used the word typical a lot lately, but it fits so good) Ultra-Right bull crap that Fox is so good at delivering. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. She later received a Master's degree in Aero/Astro Engineering, as well as a doctoral degree in Human Factors and Biomechanics, from Stanford University. So how does that make her an authority on Astrophysics? I'll tell you, it don't. She expounds on notions that have been debunked over and again. She only wants for you to buy her book. You should ignore her and listen to a person who actually knows something about the subject. An expert like Stephen Hawking PhD.

God of the Big Bang
Stephen William Hawking is an English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge. His scientific works include a collaboration with Roger Penrose on gravitational singularity theorems in the framework of general relativity, and the theoretical prediction that black holes emit radiation, often called Hawking radiation. Hawking was the first to set forth a theory of cosmology explained by a union of the general theory of relativity and quantum mechanics. He is a vigorous supporter of the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics.

Stephen William Hawking
He earned his PhD degree in cosmology in March 1966, and his essay entitled "Singularities and the Geometry of Space-Time" shared top honors with one by Penrose to win that year's prestigious Adams Prize.

Stephen Hawking "We are each free to believe what we want and it is my view that the simplest explanation is there is no God. No one created the universe and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization. There is probably no heaven, and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe, and for that, I am extremely grateful."

Stop believing in primitive myths, and stop trying to fit reality around the myth. Things never work out well when one does that. Instead make your world view conform to reality.

New Political Graphics from Insolint Tells Truth

Here are a few new political graphics from Insolint. Use them to defeat the Republican Party. They are without honor.

Republican Lunatics or Extreme Willful Ignorance Destroying America

If you would like to get to know what the average Republican Voter thinks, you should listen to the interview Right wing unfiltered, part 1 & 2 at the bottom of the story. All I can say is, that guy is as ignorant as the day is long. He doesn't have the slightest idea of what he is talking about. He doesn't have any knowledge of how our government works, the words in the Constitution or anything of the facts concerning the political situation in Washington. All the person being interviewed did was to parrot the false talking points, the lies invented by people like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Michelle Bachmann and Sean Hannity.

I'm telling you Republicans. You are getting sold down the river by a bunch of crooks. If this person's displayed lack of knowledge is an indication of the average Republican's lack of knowledge, well all I can say is damn! What a bunch of willfully ignorant people.

If ignorance is bliss, the rank and file of the Republican Party must be extremely blissful.

Now please, all of you Democrats and Republicans alike, listen to this interview. I hope the Republican viewers don't become to embarrassed by the association.

420 Celebration is About Liberty and Freedom

420 is almost here. Celebrate freedom and liberty by supporting the repeal of all unjust anti-cannabis laws. The prohibition laws on cannabis were brought about because of lies, political graft and ignorance. The despicable people who betrayed the public trust used fear, intimidation and legal trickery to get these unjust laws crammed down the throats of the American people. It is time to reverse the draconian policies of the primitive past, and move on to an enlightened future. One in which logic, reason and knowledge guide us, instead of unwarranted fear, and corporate greed.

ATTENTION VETERANS: DO NOT allow these traitors to betray our Veterans

ATTENTION VETERANS, and any mothers, fathers, sons and daughters of Veterans! This is the kind of crap the disgusting Republic/Tea Party want for our nation. They don't have your best interests in mind. Stop voting for the Republican/Tea Party traitors to American Veterans.

I'm a Veteran and I stand by our present Veterans Health Care System, without which I would surly be dead today. DO NOT allow these traitors to betray our Veterans by privatizing the Veterans Health Care System.

Republican Hate Mongers Prove They Have no Honor: Vandalize Hillary Grave

How low can some Republican hate mongers go? They are out of bounds by a mile on this one and the Rank and file GOP needs to condemn it. Otherwise it is tacit approval
.
Hillary's father's gravestone toppled on day she announced her run.

Maybe our nation should be split in two. On one side all the fundamentalists, jerk, Republican ass holes, and on the other side all the people who want to progress into the future. One side a theocratic, despotic bunch of primitive thinking apes, and on the other side the people who are guided by reason and logic.

Then when the idiots on the wrong side (GOP side) have suffered enough, we'll take them as lost children. When their side is desperate because of wars brought on by plutocrats, and economic ruin, then we can take back our lost brothers and sisters, and say never again.

Atheist Thoughts About a Friend Who Passed

One of our people fighting for their life passed away in the night. I morn that passing, and honor them with my profound thought. This is a letter in response to my grieving friend, who mourned the loss.

I am doing well. Thanks my friend. When I read of one of our people falling, it does hurt. It causes me pain when people are distressed. I feel so helpless. Who wouldn't want to be able to wave a magic wand and make everything all better? Loved people in hospital fighting for their lives, and asking for a prayer. They believe it might help, but not I. So what do I say to them and not become a liar or a hypocrite? How can I give comfort?

I tell them that I hope fate will be kind. That I hope they have skilled doctors. That I hope they recover quickly. I can only offer hope, and the assurance that humans will work as hard as they can, with the knowledge and skills they've cultivated, to return them to health. I can only offer my faith in the human spirit. My faith that people are good, and do care about them. Then sometimes all the prayers, and offered hope fails us. We primitive, ignorant humans a slave to a mortal frame. Our consciousness locked inside and dependent on biological processes, it is like a cruel joke. 13 billion years in the making, only to shine brightly for an infinitesimally short time, then lost forever to oblivion. We and I are helpless to the coming non-existence.

Still I should be counting myself as one of the lucky ones, as should we all. At least the matter we call "self" did become sentient. Our eyes did for a time see, and our ears did hear. Knowing from whence we came, and being able to contemplate it, that is the grandest thing in existence. When we are at the door to oblivion, but knowledgeable humans yank us back from that fate, I'll not cheapen their efforts. I'll give credit due. But when all fails, and despite all our knowledge and efforts one of our people pass, I'll morn that loss, and say so long my fellow. Soon I will join you in the void of the unthinking.

I once read that since our beginning there has been approximately 100 billion humans who have ever lived. Now there are 7 billion persons alive today. That tells me that 93% of the people who have ever existed are now passed away. Indeed, I'll count myself as one of the lucky 7% who are still alive.

The Republicans are Undermining National Security

The Retardlicans are effecting national security in a bad way, and they are to stupid to know it. What if we had a national emergency that called for the American People to go to arms, like the attack on Pearl Harbor? There are going to be a lot of patriotic poor persons going to enlist to defend our nation from aggression. When they start showing up at the recruitment office, we will see malnourished, overweight, out of shape, unhealthy people who will take many more weeks of preparation to get them ready to fight. Weeks that we may not have the luxury of waiting out.

A well fed nation is a strong nation. Don't undermine our nations security by starving the masses.

The Republican Party in Whole Has Lost Their Collective Minds

Here is your Republican Senate at work. I encourage all citizens to look at these cherry picked items. They show that the Republican Party does not have the best interests of the American Public in mind. Instead it shows without a doubt who they work for, big business and oil barons. These items show that the average American Republican voter has been duped!

I challenge any person of sound mind, logic and reason to justify these actions. Explain how any of these things help anyone other than the rich and powerful. I don't think any person of moral character can justify any of it.

I searched through the list provided by http://gov.mtopgroup.com/art1/live/senate for keywords like "Social Security", "Environment" and "Keystone". The results were utterly shocking. I swear, if any Republican voter looks through this list and approves, I'll be certain that the Republican party in whole has lost their collective minds.

I hope this helps. We sure need it.

New Vision for the Future Gives Unlimited Opportunity

The best way to stimulate the economy is to pour money into education, NASA/Space Exploration and research & development.

Our government has been mismanaged for a very long time. Instead of supporting policy that would expand our economy, and our civilization, we have poured money into oil subsidies, greedy Wall Street crooks and war.

Westward Expansion
Every since time immemorial, human economy has been based on expansion. Humanity has expanded out over all corners of the Earth. There is no where else to colonize for the masses. That leaves us competing for finite resources.

Skilled factory jobs have been outsourced to lands where the cost of labor is less. All the while, our society has told the young that they must get a college degree to make a good wage. In the process of obtaining that degree, they are gouged to the limit for things like books and tuition. They go into massive debt only to find upon graduation that the promised jobs do not exist.

All this has caused spending on social programs, and crime caused by desperation and poverty to increase at an unsustainable rate.

So how would pouring money into education, NASA/Space Exploration and research & development solve our problems, you may ask?

F-14A Flies Over Burning Oil Wells in Kuwait
We had a chance to avoid all this back in the early days of the 1970's, in the Apollo era. That is the time our nation dropped the ball, and greed took control. If our society had continued funding NASA and education at the same rate, and accounting for inflation, we would not have the problems we do today. Humanity would have had colonies on Mars, and the Moon by now. Along with that we would have skilled people to do the work necessary for such expansion. The jobs would be there for them who wish to seek advanced education, and for them who wish to do skilled craftsman type work. The crime rate would be lower because there wouldn't be so many poor, desperate and disillusioned people. Social spending would be far less than it is today as a percentage of our overall budget. We, as a species could support many more billions of people because we would no longer be confined to only one celestial body for a place to live. War would not be so frequent because humans would not be competing so desperately for finite resources. Humanity could of had, should of had a Golden Era, but we were robbed of it.

It is not to late to turn things around. All we have to do is vote out all the primitive thinkers, and start a massive global effort to do now what we should of been doing during the last 40 years. We, as a nation, and as the most powerful economic and industrial force on our planet should take the lead. We can, by our example, cause other nations to join our efforts.

Don't get me wrong, please. I am not going to say it will be easy because it won't. It took the will of an entire globe of freedom loving people to defeat despotism during WWII. It took sacrifice and dedication, long hours and blood to solve that horrible problem, but we did it. We did it because we had to do it or be slaves.

The efforts we need to build a new society, who's industry is based on the unlimited possibilities of expansion into the cosmos, can still be had. We can avoid the further economic enslavement of humanity by greedy, self serving people if we take action. The longer we wait, the harder it will be to set things right, and the more unnecessary suffering innocent people will be subjected to.

Apollo 11 Takes Flight
So how do we do it? When I was growing up in Florida, I remember seeing rockets flying overhead. First on their way into orbit carrying the Gemini capsule, then on to the Moon with Apollo. I'm to young to remember the Mercury missions in live thought. I do have vivid memories of the Saturn V flying across the Florida sky in all its glory. It was awesome in the extreme!

We delighted ourselves watching Star Trek, with our old friends Captain Kirk, and Mr. Spock on the television, and dreamed of a day when our civilization would do as they in real life. We thought we were on that path, and embraced science and technology wholeheartedly. Our generation was convinced that we were on a continuing path towards the stars. That was then, and the cold war ended. Along with it ended our nations dedication to that cause.

What we thought was a dedication to science and exploration turned out to be a contest of one-upmanship between the United States and the Soviet Union. As soon as we convinced ourselves we had won that contest by placing humans on our moon, and safely bringing them home, our focus turned from exploration to low Earth orbit, and the placing of communication & GPS satellites around our planet. This was the building of part of the modern electronic infrastructure we enjoy today. We could of had much more.

In 1970 our nation spent 1.92% of the Federal budget, or $18,768,000,000 on the space program, in 2007 dollars. In 2012 our nation spent 0.48% of the Federal budget, or $16,014,000,000 in 2007 dollars. During the 42 years between the dollar amount, in 2007 dollars, has varied little, and the percentage of the federal budget has kept shrinking. By my estimation, if our space program had the same funding, as a percent of the federal budget that was had in 1970, our nation would be spending $64,158,653,846 in 2007 dollars.

All figures in the preceding paragraph are from this wiki; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budget_of_NASA#Annual_budget.2C_1958-2015

Feel free to check my math.
((100/.48)*$16,014,000,000)*(100/1.92)=$64,158,653,846

During that same 40+ years education spending hasn't fared much better, and welfare spending has increased almost 4 fold. Check the chart below. It is in 2009 dollars, but I think that is close enough for this purpose.

Education-v-Welfare Spending
I hope by now you suspect what I'm getting too. I am saying our nation dropped the ball when we ended the Apollo program. I believe that if our society had kept spending on NASA and/or space technology and development, and education at proper levels, keeping up with inflation we wouldn't have such massive welfare spending now. I believe we would of avoided the recessions we have endured, along with the suffering the accompanying high unemployment levels caused. Furthermore, our nation would have avoided the massive federal debt we find ourselves saddled with.

The reason I believe all that is because if we had of kept up the forward momentum we had then, our nation would have these following things;

Skilled Person Assembling Lunar Module
1. A highly educated, and skilled workforce.
2. Industry in orbit, on the Moon and on Mars.
3. The harvesting of asteroids for metals, and other elements.
4. Greater wealth for all due to items 1, 2 and 3 in this list, giving us less welfare spending.
5. 40+ years of developed civilization on the Moon, and Mars.
6. A more stable, and sustainable industrial base.
7. A higher level of technology than we have at this point in time.
8. Less degradation of our ecosystem.
9. Less global conflict.
10. An open ended cause that everyone could feel like they were contributing to, and claim ownership of.

Lunar Module Blueprint
I'm not saying our leadership failed us on purpose. They probably didn't know any better. I know Richard Nixon didn't know any better. He was a corrupt, short sighted man, who was focused on the perceived problems of his times. He was lacking in enlightenment, and showed it in his attitude with race, government, and authority.

All that Nixon stuff is food for a whole other article. I mentioned it just to show the type of thinkers who brought us to this. Still, you should get the over all picture of what I'm going on about by now. We could of been much better off. It's almost like we've been going through a modern day Dark Ages. It is like real human advancement was put on hold in favor of other things we thought were more important, but really were not. Our society was to primitive to know any better. Now we do know better.

United States Flag on the Moon
I've mentioned in the past of how the bank bail-outs, and such was enough to fund several Apollo size projects in other articles, but it is worth mentioning again here. I'm mentioning it because corruption is a part of the problem. Misguided federal policy weighs heavily into it. Infighting between the political parties, and no real direction for our society too! The issues that has caused us to go down the failed path we have chosen are many and complex, but there is hope. It is not to late! Not yet anyway.

There is a time in a civilizations advancement when if they do not choose the right path, they could be stuck in the quagmire of stagnation forever. When the infrastructure of civilization becomes to anemic, and fragmented to take on such high goals, that civilization could very well be in danger of it's progress being brought to a halt. An advanced civilization can fail due to global war. Our civilization can be brought to its knees due to short sighted goals, greed and corruption. When I look at the news, I get a feeling our world is going down that dead end path.

Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station

I think if we turn it around now, we have a chance to avoid all that failure. It is going to take a lot of work to repair the damage. It is going to take all of us working together, and steadfastly to achieve that goal. What a goal too! We can grab that brass ring, and reap the rewards! All of us can. We don't have to march down that road to oblivion our misguided leaders have started us on.

Human Footprint on the Moon
The Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 was 7 years ago already. Could you imagine what things would be like if our nation had of put all that $1.1 trillion into 7 Apollo size programs, with the training, and people employed, etc. etc.? President John F. Kennedy's speech was May 25, 1961. By Oct. 11, 1968 Apollo 7 was ready with the First manned Earth orbital demonstration.

At its peak, the Apollo program employed 400,000 Americans and required the support of over 20,000 industrial firms and universities. http://www.nasa.gov/centers/langley/news/factsheets/Apollo.html

Lets do that times 7.

Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS)
I get 2,800,000 jobs requiring the support of 140,000 industrial firms and universities. I know it wouldn't be directly like that, but I also know it would be a major boon too!

Moon Mining Colony Provides Jobs & Hope for the Future

Note 5-27-2015: (This is new data I have been made aware of.) During the banking crisis the treasury made $16 trillion in low interest loans to the very banks that caused the problem in the first place. It cost our nation $176 billion (2009 dollars) for the cost of Apollo and other space related things in the time frame of 1962 to 1972. $16 trillion could of supported 91 times the NASA effort had back during the 1962-1972 space effort.

At its peak, the Apollo program employed 400,000 Americans and required the support of over 20,000 industrial firms and universities. 400,000 X 91 = 36,400,000 jobs

12 million persons were unemployed in 2009 at the peak of the recession. I hope you see where I'm going with this. We were taken to the cleaners big time. Our nation spent all that money, fiat money, and have precious little to show for it. Well, maybe the top mega-rich have something to show for it, but not the little guy.
