Sound the Trumpets & Loose the 4 Horsemen or Be Done With It Forever

My thoughts for this Easter weekend. Sound the Trumpets & Loose the 4 Horsemen or Be Done With It Forever.

It is written, "Luke 4:12, And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God." and "Mark 8:12, And he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, Why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily I say unto you, There shall no sign be given unto this generation."
I tempt nether lord nor god. I instead question the writers of old. In times of old signs and works were said to happen in plane sight, and be the work of God. Now after 20 centuries, and as Jesus was reported to have said, there has been no sign given. No splitting of seas. No feeding of Thousands with a few loafs and fish. No stopping of the Sun. No talking Donkeys. Instead, our world has been given over to confusion. So many religions competing for favor, how is one to know the real God?
If a god exists, let that god show itself. Let this generation have a sign. End the confusion now, and show the people of the whole world the true God. Let the trumpets sound. If there is nothing, I accept that there is nothing. If there is something, I will bow down. Otherwise, I will not bow down on the word of a man, written or spoken. Not any man of old, or of this time. Corruption and lies have taken away the credibility of man in these matters. I will need to have it from the mouth of God, and nothing less.

Stupid Women Martyrs for ISIS Get Nothing but Death

We've all heard about impressionable, misguided women seeking to, and joining ISIS. I just heard the news of one who was captured. Authorities found correspondence between them, one of which asked if she would like to be a martyr. She said "that would be amazing." It seems that she is mentally ill.

How God rewards a female suicide bomber. It got me wondering about something. Male martyrs get 72 virgins when they go to heaven (rollie-eyes), but what to females get for their trouble? I found some info in this article. "Honey, I'm Dead! How God rewards a female suicide bomber." It all sounds ridiculous to this atheist, but what do I know? I'm a heathen.

I thought this one line showed the pure illogical in it all, "Other commentators added that a woman who never married can marry any man she wants in paradise." What happens if two martyr women picks the same man? tongue emoticon

I thought this quote interesting, "whether they could have sex with the virgins, and whether the heavenly virgins had anuses. (Some said there was no need for elimination in the afterlife.)" I bet the issue of weather people took a dump in the afterlife wasn't the real concern to them butt-hole-bandits.

If it wasn't so tragic, it would be hilarious. Please ladies, think hard and long about joining up with the primitive ISIS reprobates.

Religious Freedom Restoration Act Shows Hypocrisy & Contempt for Citizens Intelligence

Something just occurred to me about this Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which has gotten a lot of attention of late. One thing right off the bat is motive, and what some people try to say about these laws. The way the politicians try to convince people that these bills have nothing to do with discrimination (wedding cakes for gay couples) is insulting to the intelligence of the people of the United States. The Tea Party goons started this tactic for the express purpose of allowing people to discriminate against gays.

Another thing I find is a big dose of hypocrisy, or an ignoring of their own Christian teachings. Let this Atheist school you.

Mark 12:17 King James Version (KJV)
17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him.

When you do business, you not only serve yourself, your family and community, you serve the state. If you have a doubt, try to get out of paying taxes, or getting proper permits and licenses.

I hope people understand what I mean with this chain of thought. Here is another:

Matthew 9:10-13 King James Version (KJV)
10 And it came to pass, as Jesus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
11 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto his disciples, Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
13 But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

I am not advocating religion. I am pointing an accusing finger at all the hateful people who use religion as a tool for hate. Shame on you.

Government Failing the People Symptom of Broken System

“. . . I venture to say that, taken as a whole, the House is sound at heart; nowhere else will you find such a ready appreciation of merit and character, in few gatherings of equal size is there so little jealousy and envy. . . The men who have led the House, whose names have become a splendid tradition to their successors, have gained prominence not through luck or by mere accident. They had ability, at least in some degree; but more than that they have had character.”
—Speaker Joseph G. Cannon of Illinois, (1903–1911)

Mr. Cannon must be rolling over in his grave. I find that the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives has become a hindrance to the functioning of government, and a liability to the American people.

As the presiding officer of the House of Representatives, the Speaker holds a variety of powers over the House and is the highest-ranking legislative official in the US government. The Constitution does not spell out the political role of the Speaker. Tradition has molded the position into what it is today.  The Speaker in the United States, by tradition, is the head of the majority party in the House of Representatives, outranking the Majority Leader. However, despite having the right to vote, the Speaker usually does not participate in debate and rarely votes.

The Speaker is responsible for ensuring that the House passes legislation supported by the majority party. In pursuing this goal, the Speaker may use his or her power to determine when each bill reaches the floor. They also chair the majority party's steering committee in the House. The Speaker is tasked with pushing through the agenda of the majority party, often at the expense of the minority opposition. As the highest-ranking member of the opposition party (and in effect a de facto Leader of the Opposition), the Speaker is normally the chief public opponent of the President's agenda. In this scenario, the Speaker is known for undercutting the President's agenda by blocking measures by the minority party or rejecting bills by the Senate.

The Speaker's powers and duties extend beyond presiding in the chamber. In particular, the Speaker has great influence over the committee process. The Speaker selects nine of the thirteen members of the powerful Committee on Rules, subject to the approval of the entire majority party. The leadership of the minority party chooses the remaining four members. Furthermore, the Speaker appoints all members of select committees and conference committees. Moreover, when a bill is introduced, the Speaker determines which committee will consider it.

Because joint sessions and joint meetings of Congress are held in the House chamber, the Speaker presides over all such joint sessions and meetings. The Speaker is also responsible for overseeing the officers of the House: the Clerk, the Sergeant-at-Arms, the Chief Administrative Officer, and the Chaplain. The Speaker can dismiss any of these officers. The Speaker appoints the House Historian and the General Counsel and, jointly with the Majority and Minority Leaders, appoints the House Inspector General.

This list of duties and the method employed to carry them out is a recipe for governments grinding to a halt. It is also a betrayal of trust to the American people. Even though a Republican or a Democrat should try to advance their cause, they still have to represent the whole of the electorate. A partisan Speaker of the House is incapable of that. The rabble gets the Speakers' ear, then the Speaker stubbornly tows a line even if it threatens the stability of the entire system.

Given such awesome powers as held by the Speaker of the House, I think we should have learned a lesson from the last few years. That lesson being, a partisan Speaker of the House is a bad idea. We should embrace the notion that our Speaker of the House of Representatives should be strictly non-partisan. The person chosen should renounce all allegiances to any party and instead focus on the people's business in the House. That should be their overriding concern, the smooth functioning of the House of Representatives. Our nation needs to implement a Westminster Style Speaker of the House.

"Non-partisanship: The Speaker, by convention, severs all ties with his or her political party, as it is considered essential that the Speaker be seen as an impartial presiding officer"

If our nation had a Speaker of the House that was non-partisan, we wouldn't have to suffer threats of government shutdown born of political party infighting. The People of the United States deserve better than that. The people expect better performance from their elected officials. The people are disturbed by the wasting of billions of taxpayer dollars on setting up programs, only to disband the program later because of political rivalry. The people are the ones most affected by government malfunction. The people are the ones the elected must answer to. The people see a major flaw in our political system and desire to remedy that flaw. It would take nothing less than a Constitutional Amendment to get the job done. Still, it must be done.

This The Speaker of the House of Commons disavowed allegiance to any political party when he took up the gavel. https://www.parliament.uk/business/commons/the-speaker/speaker-and-the-chamber/

Check out these clips of the House of Commons Speaker:

Now check out some of our own Speakers antics:

After viewing that last one, it should be apparent how the role of the Speaker has gotten out of hand. Given that "The Constitution does not spell out the political role of the Speaker.", it has become time to enact rules to govern the political role of the Speaker. The way things are now, people have made tribal/customary rules, and make them with an eye to gaining an advantage of course. Like children playing a game and making rules as they go. Every time the child invents a rule trying to gain an upper hand. Let us People of the United States have a Speaker of the House that supports the function of government on behalf of the American People who have entrusted that power. A Speaker whose role is a non-partisan role, devoted to getting the business of the people done expeditiously.

A Little About my Trip From Muncie to Portland 2015

I'm a real happy camper now that I've moved to Portland. Things are more kicked back and not so darn authoritarian. I can even get chickens here no problem from an over intrusive town counsel.

I started out early that morning piling everything into my car. I left some old furniture that I didn't want to haul across the continent. Maybe someone else will get some use from it. One of the items was an old 36" tube type, TV. It was way to heavy to lug across the nation. The thing had a really good picture, but alas it was obsolete.

After that I claimed into the car, and off I went. One and a half miles later I found myself sitting on the side of the road with an over heated engine. The temp gauge was pegged out. That morning was an especially cold one with temperatures reaching -5 degrees. I was hoping I hadn't cracked my block right at the start of my trip.

I had a theory working as to what was happening. I think that even though I had antifreeze in the engine, a slush had formed. Then all them ice crystals blocked up important cooling ports. As I sat, I started the engine and let it run until it began to over heat, at which point I turned off the engine. After doing that a few times I took note that the temp gauge was going down, instead of back up. I had not filled up so I went ahead and drove to the pumps to refuel.

After that first little fright, everything went perfect. I really wanted to stop in Colorado for a mid trip treat. I passed it up anyway though. The weather there was bad. After Cheyenne, there was snow and ice all the way across Wyoming. The roads were passable. Only once did it go down to one lane, and 35 mph. Once Utah got within sight, things started clearing up.

I also got a feel for going 80 mph for long distances. That was the speed limit for some time. I think the 80 mph was a big factor in it only taking two and a half days to  get there. Also I wanted to get the trip over with. I was darn tired of freezing my butt off. Week after week of sub-freezing weather was about enough for this Florida boy. To bad Florida is so red. They talk about putting medicinal marijuana on the ballot, but it hasn't passed yet. Give it time and it will.

Now that I'm in my new digs, I'm very happy. I'm ready to start a new chapter in my life. Spring's around the corner, so it is time to get it into gear and do some exploring. I've read that Oregon has gold, gemstones, fossils and other items of interest to an old rock hound like me. It will be fun to visit the marijuana stores when it becomes legal here on July 1st. I think I'll go ahead and get a medicinal marijuana card. I hear you can grow more plants at a time.

Let the good times roll. Pun intended. In a little over 3 months we will be able to breath free again in Oregon. As for me, I'm going to roll one and kick back. Here is a movie I made of the trip. I need to get a bigger memory card.

ISIS Must be Eliminated

So what's the deal? ISIS cut these guys heads off just because they are Christians? Even an atheist like me thinks this is no way to treat people at all. I wish everyone would abandon religion of every sort, but I don't think people should be killed because they believe in a God.

Maybe the free nations of the world should look at and consider the option of labeling ISIS a sovereign state type of entity. Not to validate them, but rather to declare total war upon them. If our free western nations of the world, worked hand in hand with friendly Arab states, we could do a massive war against these murders like we did against the Nazis. The problem is to much restraint. We have restricted ourselves to much.

We need to wage all out total merciless warfare on these ISIS bastards. That is the only way to fight them. Not some Mercenary army like I've heard some Fox news dumb ass talk about. Not just air strikes either. You have to put american boots on the ground and sweep through an area. Kill every one of the enemy or capture them but do NOT put them with the general prison population. These guys are like a disease. Like some kind of mass psychopathic killing spree that can not be allowed to fester. That is exactly what we have allowed to happen too!

We've allowed it to happen because people do not want to offend the Islamic community. The Islamic community is partially at fault in this. Time and again I have heard Muslims say something like "Well what about the Christian violence way back when" when an atrocity in the name of Mohammed happens. I heard that line when Charlie Hebdo thing happened and other times. So people say stuff like that and the west handles the terrorists with kid gloves trying to placate the Islamist portion of our societies.

Look here! Everyone is in this together. All portions of our societies are in this knee deep. Don't you know the ISIS would kill me for being an atheist, and you for being a Christian, and you for not believing in the same interpretation of Islam? We have to raise up as free peoples of the Earth and fight them down to the last person. It is either us or them. We have to root out them where ever it may be.

No more placating of soft sentiments for the sake of not hurting feelings. If anyone gets hurt feelings because we need to kill everyone of the ISIS scum, then their feelings are misplaced. They need to get over it. Some people on the left are going to say stupid things. Some people on the right are going to say stupid things. The main thing is to let the stupid be like water off a ducks back and to remember the number one goal. The total and complete destruction of ISIS and anyone like them. PERIOD. That is the task.

I'm not just blowing off steam either. I hate the idea of sending even one of our American citizens back into that hell hole. So when they go, and they will have to go, I want them to kill every one of them black flag carrying sons of bitches as they can. I want our nation to give them and our allies total commitment to the eradication of ISIS, no matter where they may rear their grotesque heads. We simply can not allow such an entity to exist. Not on this world or any other world that may come.

The Cannabis Situation is Absurd, Hypocritical and Illogical

I challenge all of you who are unsure, all of you fence sitters, all of the good people who just don't know the facts and lastly all of you self righteous pricks who like to try to run other people's lives. I challenge you to view the videos I've posted here, and after viewing them still be anti-cannabis.

When the facts are presented, there is no person of reason and even mediocre intelligence who can remain opposed to legal cannabis. If any person of intelligence remains opposed, they must have ulterior motives. Those motives may include a scheme for money, power or just to get back at someone for some perceived wrong. I'm sure the reasons are as varied as there are people.

I found that I had hepatitis C in 2008. After I finally had to quit working and go for treatment things didn't look to good for me. My memory was effected, as were my cognitive abilities. The doctors said I had a 50-50 chance of clearing the virus with the then current drugs. Those drugs were interferon and ribavirin. Two nasty drugs with some very hard side effects including Fever, Chills, Headache, Muscle aches, Pains, Malaise, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Joint aches, Back pain, Dizziness, Anorexia, Congestion, Increased heart rate, Confusion, Low white blood cell count, Low platelet count (thrombocytopenia), Low red blood cell count, An increase in liver enzymes, An increase in triglycerides, Skin rashes, Mild hair loss or hair thinning, Swelling (edema), Cough, Difficulty breathing, Allergic or anaphylactic reaction. My doctor said on a mesery scale I was at a 9. I had all the side effects it seemed. The doctors were about to take me off the antiviral treatment due to low red blood cell count. Instead I was given another drug to inject that was supposed to increase my red blood cells.
I was able to beat the hepatitis C virus (HCV). I needed help in beating the side effects and that help came in the form of cannabis. After I had got my New Mexico Medical Marijuana card, I went to the local dispensary to purchase some medicine. After I had got back to the house I sat down and give it a try. When the smoke started to effect me, it was like all the weight of the side effects were lifted.  I got the munchies and started eating more. My mood improved from depression to happy. That one thing was extremely important. Interferon causes depression. Every time I went to the doctor they asked me if I had any suicidal ideations. A lot of people concentrate on the CBD's in cannabis because of their medicinal effects, but they shouldn't ignore THC's positive effect on mood. All this became even more important when the next year after completing HCV treatment I was told I had neck cancer.

I thought going through HCV treatment was hard. I have to tell you it is hard, but not like the hell of cancer chemo and radiation treatment. Some of you may think it is all some kind of joke, and people are only looking for an excuse to get high. Well I'll trade never smoking another bud with the assurance of never getting cancer, any day of the year. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

Well cannabis got me through the side effects of chemo for cancer. I have been told by my doctors tht I'm free of the hep C virus, and still no sign of cancer. I have my problems though. One doesn't battle them two demons and come out unscathed. I have nerve damage caused by the cisplatin that was used on me for chemo. Also the radiation therapy did some damage too. Cannabis is still needed to help me with the pins and needles feeling in my feet and hands. I get cramping too, and cannabis helps with that. The cramping in my neck is the worse thing.

The cannabis situation today is absurd, hypocritical and illogical. We have states where cannabis is legal, while others will will give you hard time in prison for the same thing. We also have stats where it can be used for medicinal reasons while the federal government maintains that cannabis has no value as a medicine. The only reasonable answer to the cannabis question is legalization and regulation. All of the old excuses used in the past have been proven patently false. Cannabis doesn't make white women want to have sex with black men. Cannabis does't cause reefer-madness-type killing sprees. The old excuse of "the government don't know how to tax it because everyone will just grow their own" has been squashed thoroughly. Colorado has proven that with $70 million in taxes brought in the first year. We persons of reason now know all of the lies told to us by people with a vengeful agenda, and we want change.

We'll get that change too. The tide is coming in and you better go along for the ride or be drown in your own ignorance and spiteful hate. After all, when all the facts are brought forth, that is all you have left. So what are you naysayers going to do? There is nothing wrong with admitting the truth. There is something wrong with supporting draconian, unjust public policy. Do the right thing and support freedom and liberty. Support the full legalization of cannabis.

Now for the video. View them with an open mind. Accept the truth.
