The Cannabis Situation is Absurd, Hypocritical and Illogical

I challenge all of you who are unsure, all of you fence sitters, all of the good people who just don't know the facts and lastly all of you self righteous pricks who like to try to run other people's lives. I challenge you to view the videos I've posted here, and after viewing them still be anti-cannabis.

When the facts are presented, there is no person of reason and even mediocre intelligence who can remain opposed to legal cannabis. If any person of intelligence remains opposed, they must have ulterior motives. Those motives may include a scheme for money, power or just to get back at someone for some perceived wrong. I'm sure the reasons are as varied as there are people.

I found that I had hepatitis C in 2008. After I finally had to quit working and go for treatment things didn't look to good for me. My memory was effected, as were my cognitive abilities. The doctors said I had a 50-50 chance of clearing the virus with the then current drugs. Those drugs were interferon and ribavirin. Two nasty drugs with some very hard side effects including Fever, Chills, Headache, Muscle aches, Pains, Malaise, Fatigue, Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Abdominal pain, Joint aches, Back pain, Dizziness, Anorexia, Congestion, Increased heart rate, Confusion, Low white blood cell count, Low platelet count (thrombocytopenia), Low red blood cell count, An increase in liver enzymes, An increase in triglycerides, Skin rashes, Mild hair loss or hair thinning, Swelling (edema), Cough, Difficulty breathing, Allergic or anaphylactic reaction. My doctor said on a mesery scale I was at a 9. I had all the side effects it seemed. The doctors were about to take me off the antiviral treatment due to low red blood cell count. Instead I was given another drug to inject that was supposed to increase my red blood cells.
I was able to beat the hepatitis C virus (HCV). I needed help in beating the side effects and that help came in the form of cannabis. After I had got my New Mexico Medical Marijuana card, I went to the local dispensary to purchase some medicine. After I had got back to the house I sat down and give it a try. When the smoke started to effect me, it was like all the weight of the side effects were lifted.  I got the munchies and started eating more. My mood improved from depression to happy. That one thing was extremely important. Interferon causes depression. Every time I went to the doctor they asked me if I had any suicidal ideations. A lot of people concentrate on the CBD's in cannabis because of their medicinal effects, but they shouldn't ignore THC's positive effect on mood. All this became even more important when the next year after completing HCV treatment I was told I had neck cancer.

I thought going through HCV treatment was hard. I have to tell you it is hard, but not like the hell of cancer chemo and radiation treatment. Some of you may think it is all some kind of joke, and people are only looking for an excuse to get high. Well I'll trade never smoking another bud with the assurance of never getting cancer, any day of the year. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way.

Well cannabis got me through the side effects of chemo for cancer. I have been told by my doctors tht I'm free of the hep C virus, and still no sign of cancer. I have my problems though. One doesn't battle them two demons and come out unscathed. I have nerve damage caused by the cisplatin that was used on me for chemo. Also the radiation therapy did some damage too. Cannabis is still needed to help me with the pins and needles feeling in my feet and hands. I get cramping too, and cannabis helps with that. The cramping in my neck is the worse thing.

The cannabis situation today is absurd, hypocritical and illogical. We have states where cannabis is legal, while others will will give you hard time in prison for the same thing. We also have stats where it can be used for medicinal reasons while the federal government maintains that cannabis has no value as a medicine. The only reasonable answer to the cannabis question is legalization and regulation. All of the old excuses used in the past have been proven patently false. Cannabis doesn't make white women want to have sex with black men. Cannabis does't cause reefer-madness-type killing sprees. The old excuse of "the government don't know how to tax it because everyone will just grow their own" has been squashed thoroughly. Colorado has proven that with $70 million in taxes brought in the first year. We persons of reason now know all of the lies told to us by people with a vengeful agenda, and we want change.

We'll get that change too. The tide is coming in and you better go along for the ride or be drown in your own ignorance and spiteful hate. After all, when all the facts are brought forth, that is all you have left. So what are you naysayers going to do? There is nothing wrong with admitting the truth. There is something wrong with supporting draconian, unjust public policy. Do the right thing and support freedom and liberty. Support the full legalization of cannabis.

Now for the video. View them with an open mind. Accept the truth.
