Mitigating and Leveraging Global Climate Shift

Water can be a real problem. The problem can go in both directions too. In places like New Mexico the problem usually is not enough while in other parts of the continent the problem it an over abundance. Maybe we all need to start getting creative about this water problem. Put it in a high priority position on the to do list of infrastructure projects.

Oil companies on a regular basis build pipelines that stretch for thousands of miles. How about our nation build water pipeline that interconnect. Make them go from places of over abundance to places of need. Make catchments to take advantage of the excess water in places like the gulf coast. Fortify structures there to withstand the winds we know will come. Make systems to capture all the excess waters pouring from hurricanes. Make structures which would be designed to capture the wind energy and store it for the use of our people.

Floods happen all the time and they are going to happen more often. If we are going to run headlong into global warming, we are going to have to prepare and get ready. We have to take measures to mitigate the damages from the oncoming global climatic shift. In that mitigation we should try to leverage it to our advantage. A contentinantle interconnected water catchment and distribution system would be one way to apply leverage to global warming..
